Johnson/Johnston, Powell, Hadley--Do you have any Johnson/Johnston genealogy. Am particularly interested in the Johnson Family. John Johnson, Sr. and Joyce Powell descendants. They originated in Mississippi Territory in 1700's on and around the McIntosh Bluff, Tombigee and Alabama Rivers. Also direct kin, 3rd G-grandparents Julia Johnson born about 1814 and Jesse Hadley born 1812. Nellie Johnson born 1820 in GA married John Hadley born 1820, sibling to Jesse Hadley. Nellie's father was said to be Stephen Johnson, GA. Thomas Johnson born 1819 died in OK, homesteaded 200 acres of land, Baldwin County, tract one 40 acres finalized 1835 and 160 acres tract finalized 1836. Same land was sold by John Hadley, wife Nelly Johnson and Mark Johnson in 1852. Section 17,Baldwin County, Alabama. Thanks. John B. Dean. john_irma@frontier.net 04-03
