Tharp, Folkner--The Heritage of Franklin County--A friend of mine just mailed copies of a book to me with our family history (Tharp and Folkner Family).  The book is titled:  "The Heritage of Franklin County"  Do you know how I would obtain a copy of this book?  Digitalburgers@aol.com    03-04

Fortner, Dugger/Duggar, Gist--I am trying to find information on the Fortner and Gist families that were in and around Franklin Co. AL. during the 1850's to 1900 time span.  My grandfather was Lige Marion Fortner, he married Alma Jane Dugger/Duggar.  He was born in either Franklin or Marion Co. AL. His parents were Marshall Fortner and Fannie Gist.  They were married in one of these counties.  Marshall was born in 1847 and was 29 years older than Fannie, it is very probable that he had been married before.  Thanks ahead for any info, Phyllis.  I can be contacted at PJack_1@charter.net    02-04

Burrow, Mayo, Faught--Looking for the family of J. O. Burrow (??I. O. Burrow) who married Ozie Mayo.  Ozie died and he remarried.   Son from first marriage was Eldred Mayo Burrow who married Alyce Elizabeth Faught.  ANY info will be greatly appreciated!   Alyce Jaynes Weaver.   weweaver@vallnet.com    01-04

George--Looking for imformation  on  James  C. George, born 1804, Death unknown.  On  census in Itawamba Co., MS,  in 1850,  on  1870 census in  Franklin Co., AL.  Contact  me  at  mrgebass@aol.com    01-03

Godby--I have found on the 1880 census, Martha Godby, born 1840, AL, was a widow.  She was the mother of James F. Godby, Emma Godby, Flora Godby, Isom Miles Godby, Repsey Godby, Anner Godby and Linda Godby.  Isom Miles Godby was my Great Grandfather and I am trying to find information about Martha Godby's husband. I have information that in 1859 they owned land in Franklin County AL, Township 85 (maybe 8S), Range 8W, Section 25. If anyone has any information on this family,  I would appreciate your help.  Isom Miles Godby moved to Texas.  Thanks, Glenda Godbey   bjggng@cs.com    01-03

Reeves, Morrow, Tanner--I live near Tishomingo, OK.  I'm researching Mary A. Reeves  (born about 1834, died after 1901, Newburgh, AL?) who filed for civil war widow's pension on 10 June 1889 while living in Newburgh, AL.  Mary's husband was Seabourn Reeves, son of Burgess Reeves and Eliz Tanner.  In 1860 census Seborn & Mary lived in Randolph Co., AL.  I beleive Mary was mother to my Sarah Elizabeth Reeves born 1852, who married John William Morrow on 07 Dec 1870 at Fayette, AL.   Any info on Mary A. Reeves would be appreciated.  I'd like to know her parents names, etc.  Bill Morrow.  wrmrrw@aol.com   10-02
