Alcorn County Genealogical
Society
(Alcorn, Prentiss, and Tishomingo)--Our genealogical society has a
research room on Proper Street at the Northeast Mississippi Incubator
Building in Corinth.
We are currently open every Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4
pm
and other days by appointment. We have a copier, microfilm reader
and printer. The emphasis of our literature is Alcorn and Old
Tishomingo
county information. Prior to 1870 Alcorn, Prentiss and Tishomingo
were one county. This was called (Old) Tishomingo County.
Those
records are housed here in Alcorn County. All other
information
regarding membership, publications is on our website.
