Crocker, Worrell, Adams, Stevens, Speed, Kellum--My Great Grandparents, Thomas Jefferson Crocker and Jane Caroline Worrell lived in your county in the 1800's.  Thomas Jefferson Crocker was born in Mississippi about 1848 and lived there until 1893.   He married, about 1866, Jane Caroline Worrell who was born in Georgia (likely Newton County).    The parents of Thomas Jefferson Crocker were believed to be W. B. Crocker and Caroline Adams.   I think the W. in W. B. Crocker stood for William.  The parents of Jane Caroline Worrell were Solomon A. Worrell and Amanda Nancy Stevens.  Both were born in Georgia and married in Newton County, GA on December 9, 1842.   Jane Caroline Worrell had a sister, Elizabeth Worrell, who married John Kellum in Chickasaw County.  She had two brothers, James O. Worrell and William Calvin Worrell.  The children of Thomas Jefferson Crocker and Jane Caroline Worrell were William Henry Crocker born 1867, Charles C. Crocker born 1870, Eliza C. Crocker born 1872, Jesse C. Crocker born 1875, Sam Crocker born 1883, and Walter M. Crocker born 1885.  William Henry Crocker married Ella Callie Speed in Mississippi about 1885.  Charles C. Crocker married Nancy M. _____ (Maiden name might be Nations).  Thomas Jefferson and Jane Caroline Crocker moved from Mississippi to Texas in 1893.  All their children moved with them.  Anyone recognize any names or are researching the same surnames, contact me at email address or at P. O. Box 64, Richland, TX 76681.  Thanks, Odis Arnold. oarnold@glade.net
