Linkey--To whoever can help me, I would like to inquire about an obituary for a Charles J. Linkey, who I belive was a resident in Hancock County, that recently passed away around the 9th of June 2004. He was around 28 or 29 years of age and used to be in the Air Force. He would have moved there about 1 year ago maybe 1 1/2 years ago. If you have any information or a copy of his obituary, if in fact he was  a resident there could you please send it to me. It would really mean alot.  Thank you, Bonnie Allen. tjreams@web-access.net     06-04

Gilkey--My grandfather was born in Hancock Co., Mississippi in 1901 His name was Charles A. Gilkey.  I am trying to find any information I can about his family.  His father and mother were Samuel Gilkey and Emma Gilkey. CBrown8523@aol.com     01-04

Hurricane Camille death--I was working at the NASA computer center in Slidell when Hurricane Camille hit on August 18, 1969.  A young man my age, whose first name was "Ernie" also worked there.  Although we didn't know each other at the time, both of us had served in the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines in Vietnam at the same time.  Ernie was killed the first or second day after Camille hit, when he was helping in the clean-up and stepped on a live electrical line, as I remember.  He would have been about 21 or 22 years old.  I believe the accident was either in Pass Christian, or Bay St. Louis.  I am writing a piece about Vietnam, and I wanted to include something about Ernie, but I cannot remember his last name.  Is there somewhere I can find death or casualty notices related to Hurricane Camille?  Thank you for any information.  Bill Fischer. bill.fischer@worldnet.att.net   11-02
