La Gironde crew--DuChamont Concession. I am looking for anything that documents what became of the persons aboard La Gironde of the NW Trading Company that landed in New Orleans in 1720. I have read that this party fared better than others because they traveled on up the river to Biloxi. Beyond that, I have no info as to what became of the people, at least one of whom may have been an ancestor. Any info appreciated. Paula Harris. harrisraypaula1@qwest.net 10-03
Bradford, Evans-1, Jones--I was born in Harrison Co. in 1961. 16 years ago I left the Coast. I now live in North Carolina. I do come home several times a year. But it is usually on Holidays and weekends. So it is kind of hard for me to go to the Biloxi Library to look this stuff up. I can't find anything on my Father's (Thomas E. Bradford) family. My Grandfather was Authur B. Bradford, Grandmother Stella F. Bradford. They moved to the coast from Scott Co. in the early 1940's. My Mother's (Bettye Louise Evans Bradford) family. Grandfather was Marvin P. Evans, Grandmother Clara I. Jones Evans. The Evans have very deep roots in Harrison Co.!! My Great Great Grandfather (Wesley Griffin Evans, Jr.) was in the Civil War, a Lawyer and from what I can understand was in the Senate. On the website "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" Genealogy. I have been able to find a census on Wesley Griffin Evans, Jr. and Wesley Griffin Evans, Sr. (all are buried in the Coalville Cemetery in Gulfport). But I can't seem to find anything on My Great Grandparents or Grandparents. If you could guide me in the right direction I would be very Grateful!!! One more thing...It is my understanding that my Great Great Great Grandfather Rev. Wesley Griffin Evans, Sr. was the original Founder for the Coalville Church. Services were first held in a shack that was built where the cemetery now sits. There have been articles printed in the local newspaper about this church and its Founders that aren't correct. I would love to prove this.....If you have any ideas where I might start I would be most thankful!!! Thank You so much for your time! Ann. LOSTSWAMPCAT@aol.com 10-03
Galy, Evans, Harris, Spencer--Looking for any info on Arsene G. Galy from France, who married Louise L Evans from LA about 1877 in New Orleans. They had 9 children, one being my grandmother, May Alma Galy. She married Andrew D Harris from Gulfport MS. He was a son of James Harris & Clementine (Spencer) Harris from MS. I believe he had a brother Monroe Harris & sister Violia Harris. I'm at a dead end. Any info would be great. meechieb@cox.net 11-02

Enloe, Mayronne--I am looking for the marriage certificate of my wife's maternal grandparents - Earl E Enloe and Hermanie "Honey' Mayronne. It appears Earl came down from around Missouri and met Honey. Honey was born and raised in New Orleans, but we believe they went to the Mississippi coast for their marriage. My wife's mother was born in January 1922 and was an only child. Any ideas on where to look for Earl and Honey's marriage? Thanks, Ken Robichau email krobichau@houston.rr.com 09-02
