in continuous publication since 1845, is one of Mississippi's oldest weekly newspapers, e-mail HCGazette@aol.com, phone 601-857-8071, fax 601-857-5095, owner and editor Mary Ann Keith, mailing address, P. O. Box 729, 110 Port Gibson Street, Raymond, MS 39154--0729.  This paper publishes genealogical and historical information on a weekly basis, and is the official organ of the Raymond county seat, Hinds County, Mississippi.  It has continued right through the Battle of Raymond, Civil War, Depression, etc.  [I understand that some papers from 1845 on are on microfilm at the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.--ed.]
