Reddoch, Tynes, O'Rourke, Sylvest--Location of Cemeteries and Grave Sites.  There is a Catholic Cemetery at Bassfield, located where the original Catholic Church was built by Michael O'Rourke.  Can you give me the location/directions to this cemetery?  Specifically looking for any graves of "Reddoch".  Also interested in the location of cemeteries in the Santee, MS, area in regards to "Reddoch".  There is a cemetery near, I think, Columbia, in an area that used to be known as Wilksburg Plantation where Michael O'Rourke and Sarah Eveline Tynes O'Rourke raised their family, and where they are said to be buried.  Also there was a "Sylvest Catholic Church" about 10 miles East of Columbia, MS.  I believe it may now be called St. Mary's Catholic Church.  There is a cemetery there, I am told, where the Sylvest family members are buried.  Any information you could give me on these burial sites, would be deeply appreciated.  Thank you, Shirley Reddoch Roesch.  gfroesch@canufly.net     03-04

Brady/Braddy, Sanford, Davis, Franques--My Grandfather was named Charles Sanford Brady.  According to family stories he was the brother of Pickens Brady, Addison Brady, Franklin Brady,... the son of Mary Elizabeth Sanford and James Braddy.  The Honorable Pickens Brady, a judge, attorney and entrenepur was supposedly his younger brother.  Sanford and Pickens were supposedly born in South Carolina, near Columbia, South Carolina and walked the Pine Tar Trail to near Williamsburg, Mississippi.  They also supposedly resided near a Free State of Jones in Mississippi. My problem is I can find Pickens, but not the rest of the family members.  I even went to Prentiss [the city of...] and spoke with several family members all know Pickens... do you have any info on the rest of the family.  Early  records spell it Braddy, but later it changed to Brady.  I picked up the spelling difference in Pickens' name before and after the Civil War, especially on the pensioners lists.  According to some of the locals in Prentiss, my grandfather was known as Santee Brady, moved to Louisiana, married a Betty Davis who died in 1898.  For a fact he married Mattie Franques in 1920 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.  cloughlin@satx.rr.com    01-04
