Burdette, Thompson, McBride, Thayer, Hammons, Hart, Brumley--I am looking for the parents of Thomas L. Burdette.  He was born in Alabama per obit but, could have been born in Lamar, Jones, or Pearl River Co., Mississippi, in 1900.  He had a sister named Velma Burdette. The birth certificate is of her son, Joe Hart.  Can you help me with this family.  A relative says his name was T. L. Burdette (Sr ?) he married C. E. "BAW" Thompson ( called "BAW")( in Jones Co. Mississippi 1893?) and they had four children: Thomas L. Burdette -he married Callie M. McBrideBeulah May Burdette - she married Robert B. ThayerEunice Bell Burdette, she married a Hammons ( in N. O., LA?).  Velma Burdette married Richard E. Hart.  So if the information on the certificate is correct, then in 1901 they were in Lumberton Mississippi.  T.L. (Sr.) was a millwright for the lumber industry.  Came to Texas just about this time.  He left the family in Jefferson Co., Texas, shortly after and was never heard from again.  A relative says he started a new family in Lower parts of Mississippi.  Any help would be great to varify names, dates, and places.  Thomas L. Burdette born 1900 in AL or MS is my wife's grandfather.  They lived in Silsbee, Texas, and Beaumont, Texas.  His daughter Mary Burdette married Norbet I. Brumley of  LA.  Thomas & Sandra Sachitano. tsachitano@gt.rr.com      09-03

Richardson--Looking for information on Johnny Bryant Richardson who lived in Marion County before Lamar was made into a county.  He was a timber man and drove oxen through the woods to haul logs for the lumber mills of Sumrall and Marion Counties.  I have found that he was born in Louisiana around 1890-1898.  Thank you, Bradley D. Richardson.  RDRSHEALTH@aol.com     08-03

Burns--I am searching for the birthplace of my ancestors by the name of John Bennett Burns and his son Joseph Madison Burns.  All I have is that they were born and married in Mississippi (1832-1852).  I need to narrow this info down to a county.  Can you send me any info to help?  Thanks, Debbie.
