Moore--Searching for Moores in Madison Co., specifically, Gibson Moore in the area in the early 1800's. I think his wife's name was Elizabeth Moore. Children were Leroy Moore, Elizabeth Moore, William Moore, Joseph Moore and Margaret Mary "Polly" Moore. They later show up in Yazoo Co. Gibson may have had a Ferry Boat on the Pearl and a homesite named Sara. Gibson was in Carsons Mississippi Regiment during the War of 1812. About to give up on this search, have been at it for a long time. Allan Moore. alvileor@juno.com 09-03
Bentley, Thomasson--Please help me to find the graves of my GGGrandparents. William Bentley died April 15, 1864, in Yazoo County, but lived in Holmes County. He served in Company F 3rd Regiment 1st Brigade Minute Men. He married Eliza (Once married to a Thomasson). I have very little else on either of them, except they left 2 small children upon their deaths: Sarah Bentley and Emsley Burns Bentley who I know nothing about. They lived in Holmes around 1855 to 1864, owning land he left to Richard Thomasson along with his children. Please, if anyone might know of any information about them, please let me know. Also, I am looking for the grave of William Bentley, if anyone might have seen it... Thanks, Cathy B. Hilley. Cathy@targetmarketadv.com 01-03
