Anderson, Borden--I am looking for information on George W. Anderson, M.D. and Margaret  F. (Borden) Anderson.  George was born in Benton, Calhoun County, AL, in 1837.  Margaret's maiden name was Borden.  Their children were Robert A. Anderson, M.D. ,and Birdie "Cornelia" Anderson.  The info on Robert A. shows his birthplace as Plymouth community in Pontotoc County.  They are listed in the 1880 census---Fm Hugh B Anderson, Gulfport, MS.    e mail hughaandr@aol.com      07-04

Duncan2--I am a descendant of John F. Duncan whose father was Thomas Lane Duncan.  They lived in Pontotoc, Miss.  I have been researching to find who Thomas Lane Duncan's father was, but have had no success.  Some think it was John Lane Duncan born in 1755, but I can find no proof of this.  Anyone having information regarding the Duncan family, I would like to hear from you.  Wayne Gaupp.  gaup455@bellsouth.net      04-04

Dejarnett--Looking for the Cemetery where Christopher Henry Dejarnett is buried in Pontotoc Mississippi.  He passed away in 1897.  Also would like to find any of his children's descendants; Charles Dejarnett, John Dejarnett, Mary Dejarnett, Martha Dejarnett, and James Dejarnett. Bray--Hello there, I am looking for any information on David Asbury Bray who died in Troy, Mississippi, on 15 JUL 1876 and is buried in the Troy Cemetery, but he has no marker.  He had a wooden cross for a marker and his grave can not be found now.   Does anyone have any information on where he is buried in the Troy Cemetery.  He also had a daughter, Ella J. Bray,  she died 01 SEP 1869 at the age of 8 yrs old and she is also buried in the Troy Cemetery, her grave is also unmarked.  David was a Civil War Veteran of the 34th Georgia Infantry Co H. he fought all the way through the war.  He was 44 yrs old when he passed away.  We are seeking his grave site so that we can place a Confederate marker on it.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you, GOD BLESS AMERICA, Gary Bray.  texreb@earthlink.net    11-03

Wren--I am a descendent of Robert Wren who was believed to be of Cherokee descent and a property owner in Pontotoc County,
Mississippi in the late 1800's and early 1900's.  I know he had at least two sons.  I would like to learn more about him, but

Manahan--I am looking for information about John Franklin Manahan who moved to Benton County, Mississippi, from York County, SC.  He enlisted in the Confederate Army and was assigned to Co. G, 31st Regiment, Mississippi Infantry.  He attained the rank of Captain.   Theophilus Winfield Manahan, John Franklin's son, met and married Mary Hennrietta Mannahan in Pontotoc County.  (She was the daughter of William Mannahan)  They had 5 children, one died at the age of 1 month, and Mary Hennrietta died a few days before the boy.  Theophilus moved to Freestone County, Texas, shortly thereafter with 3 daughters ( I do not know about the first born daughter) to be near his parents (John Franklin) who had already left Mississippi for Texas.  I do not know the exact date, but it was after the War between the States, likely in the 1870's.  Any help you can provide for me is greatly appreciated.  I have been to the Court House in Pontotoc, but found no records to help me.  The clerk there informed me that most of the information I was looking for had been sent to Jackson.  Thank you so much for your help.  Hugh Delle Manahan Broadway. wdbway@vvm.com    04-03 02-04

Dodson, Mullins-- Looking for any information on the father of Eula Beatrice Dodson born January 27, 1907.  Her mother was Jeanie Sue White Mullins and her father was Hace Dodson (not sure about the first name).  Her mother died around 1912 of bright's disease and is buried in Oak Forest Cemetery in Randolph, MS.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank You.  Darln33@aol.com  10-02

Stepp, Tatum, Duncan, Goggans--I am trying to research my husbands family. I am trying to find anyone who may know about or run across a Lester Vardaman Stepp born 12-26-1903, He had two wives. The 1st was Beulah Tatum br. 11-16-1901?, 2nd wife was Ruby Inez Duncan br.1912?. Lester's father was James Callaway "Jim" Stepp born 1869?. He married a Lucinda Goggans born ?. Martin--I am trying to find information on George Martin who was born in Pontotoc, MS,  in 1844.  His parents were Daniel Martin and Flora Martin.  At the time of the Civil War the family was living in Randolph County.  George Martin was killed during the Civil War.  Could you tell me where I might look  for information on this family.  Thanks. cpearson@ipa.net
