Wilson, Oxford--On Dec.10th,1846, my gggf, Giles Lyons Wilson, enlisted in Captain Elder's Company C, 2nd. Mississippi Infantry Regiment for the Mexican War at Greensboro,Winston County, MS.  Can someone tell me precisely where the old Town of Greesboro was located? I have heard it does not now exist. Wilson was married in Winston Co. in 1844 to Survella Adeline Oxford.  I have determined that this family perhaps lived near the Winston-Choctaw County line possibly and near Snowsville.  In 1850, the family was in Jackson Parish,Louisiana.  During the Civil War,Wilson enlisted in Col. Richard Taylor's 9th La. Infantry and later served in the 12th La. Infantry. Any info on Greensboro, Snowsville, and these ancestors will be greatly appreciated. Williams, Clark--I am trying to get any info on Caswell Williams born Nov. 19, 1846, Winston County and  Margaret Jane Clark born Jan. 7, 1848, Winston County, married Jan. 8, 1868. McDaniel, Cummins, Guess--I am seeking any information in reference to Nettie McDaniel's parents, elders, brothers and/or sisters.  She was born in MS in 1872 and died 1910 in Attala County, and was buried at Doty Spring's Baptist Church Cemetery near Ethel.  She married Isaac Sanford Cummins, the son of Isaac Marion Cummins & Nancy Matilda Guess-Cummins in 1891, also of Attala County.  Their marriage produced 8 children, they are:  Walter M. Cummins, Fred E. Cummins, Irving Cummins, Myrtle L. Cummins, Ruby L. Cummins, Netter M. Cummins, Dick E. Cummins, and Theodore J. Shirley, Fleming, Curtis--I am looking for the parents of Cherry Leland Shirley, born prior to 1860, possibly in Winston County.  She married Benjamin Flowers Curtis in 1874 in Winston County. Both she and her husband are buried in Louisville.  I am also searching for the parents of Ben and Cherry's daughter-in-law... Letha Annie Fleming married Vivian Critz Curtis in Winston County.  She was born in 1882, possibly in Noxapater or Winston County.  Her parents might have been a N.L.
